The Moscow Vector By Robert Ludlum, Orion, £6.99

YOU know exactly where you are with a Robert Ludlum book – and he rarely fails to deliver.

This is probably one for the dads out there to take on holiday. Lying on the beach – if the kids will allow – and enjoying the rare time to enjoy a gripping novel.

It's the usual fast-paced, twisting, suspense-filled plot.

This time it's one of the world's wealthiest men who has control over a bioweapon and the Russian leaders want to use him, and it, for their own ends.

Not exactly a soothing summer read to forget the world's troubles. But get lost in the plot, and enjoy Ludlum at his best.
